I know people will say its only a "friendly" and dont read to much into it etc...but blinking eck they were impressive again last night!

Once again you couldnt have guessed which team is higher up the league struture and also the fact that Rotherhams season starts next saturday only highlights how good this alfreton team/squad is.

Last season Alfreton were lacking in strength of depth of the squad but that has certainly been addressed and it is a bonus that several players are very versatile and are very comfortable in various positions.

I cant wait for it to start properly!

I enjoyed watching that 'friendly' like never before. We showed moments of class and it was a pleasure to watch from the back line right to to the front! Going to be a very exciting season I hope. I have alot of confidence in this squad and I think the players do themselves!

There must be someone out there who can beat us haha! I just hope that we are not expending all our good results now and hope we dont unexplainably flounder when the season starts n it matters for real. We have got the best squad we have ever had but they mustnt get complacent and think that it will be easy at any stage.

I am sure Nicky will keep their feet firmly on the floor.

Agree with all of the comments posted above i thought from front to back we competed on equal terms and at times looked a level above.I know its only a friendly and to be fair the ref's corner decision prior to our second goal was very friendly to us but surely no team from a higher division likes losing to a lower one i'm sure we dont. Whilst all players played well i thought Aden Flint was excellent. I just hope no one from a higher division team is watching. Roll on the 14th..... Smile
